A colorful and whimsical pictorial map of the Johns Hopkins Hospital campus in Baltimore. The area detailed is bounded by Old Broadway, and Monument, Wolfe and Jefferson Streets. The full title of the map is A Map of Johns Hopkins Hospital attempting to show the general plan, Habits of the Staff, Students & Patients, curious customs etc. and so forth.
Among the facilities identified are the nurses' quarters ("Here ye Beauteous Nurses do Reside"), Harriet Lane Children's Clinic, Osler Medical Clinic and the Wilmer Eye Clinic. The mapmaker is identified as "Yardley drew this," just below the illustration of hospital facade. The map was clearly crafted prior to the era of colitical correctness and some of the references are clearly inappropriate.
