[Washington.]: U.S. Coast Survey. 1867. Original fold lines and a couple of extraneous fold lines. Fold split of 1 1/4" at top, just through the neat line. Very good. Item #3623
As the first U.S. Coast Survey chart to be produced in full color by chromolithography, this is an important chart. It portrays Frenchman's Bay and Winter Harbor Sound in considerable detail with a scale of 1:20,000. Among the numerous features identified are Iron Round Island, Halibut Hole, Grindstone Neck, Roaring Bull, Mosquito Harbor Light and Schoodac Point. A very attractive and significant chart.
