This magnificent rolled blueback chart details (in nearly seven feet) Long Island Sound from Manhattan to Watch Hill Point and Montauk Point. It includes Shelter Island, New Haven and New London. Lighthouses are indicated in red. The chart is described and illustrated on page 65 of Guthorn's United States Coastal Charts, 1783-1861.
