A fairly uncommon, early Portland imprint. The American Antiquarian Society identifies four variants of this work, based on the secondary publishers; Shaw and Shoemaker do not distinguish among the four. OCLC locates 45 institutional holders, but lumps them (perhaps correctly, perhaps not) under the issue "Printed for Daniel Johnson, Portland, and Kimber, Conrad, & Co., Philadelphia." In addition to the American Antiquarian Society copy, we did locate examples of the issue with "John Johnson, Hallowell" as the secondary publisher at Bowdoin and the Maine Historical Society.
